이번 주 하나님의 말씀은 누가복음 10장 본문을 통해 본 베다니의 마리아와 마르다의 선택 이라는 주제의 말씀입니다.
바쁘시더라도 잠깐 묵상하는 시간을 가지셔서 말씀의 은혜를 누리시길 바랍니다.

오늘은 올바른 선택에 대한 마지막 시간입니다.
우리는 매순간 선택의 기로에서 결정을 하게 되고, 무엇을 선택하느냐에 따라 인생의 항로가 결정됩니다.
우리는 자기의 유익을 위해, 추구하는 가치관을 위해 선택하게 됩니다. 이러한 선택이 우리의 인생을 만들어 갑니다.
그리스도인들은 하나님의 말씀을 기준으로 판단하고 선택해야 합니다.
1.우리는 선택할 때에 자신이 추구하는 가치관에 따라 선택 합니다.
-예수님은 베다니를 지나시다가 잠시 그들의 집에 들르셨습니다. 이들을 섬기기 위해 분주하게 준비하던 마르다는 결국 일이 힘들어 불평하는 모습을 보입니다. 오늘 교회도 마찬가지로 큰 불평을 터트리는 성도님들을 보면 대부분 많은 사역을 감당하시는 분들이라는 것을 보게 됩니다. 교회는 일이나 봉사를 하는 곳이 아닌 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 곳임을 먼저 깨달아야 합니다.
1.1 마르다처럼 모든 상황을 일반화 시키고 자신의 생각대로 행동하거나 사역하는 것은 옳지 않습니다.
-마르다의 의도는 좋았지만, 그것이 하나님이 보시기에 옳은 태도가 아닐 수도 있습니다. 자신을 알고 겸손히 하나님을 섬기고 동행하는 것이 올바른 태도입니다.(미6:8) 마르다의 문제는 예수님의 생각보다 자신의 생각이 우선시 되어, 생각을 따라 행동하는 것이었습니다.
1.2 마리아의 행동은 당시 파격적인 행동이었습니다. 마치 랍비 밑에 있는 제자와 같은 태도였기 때문이다.
-당시 문화로 여자인 마리아가 이같은 태도를 보였다는 것은 아주 충격적인 모습이었습니다. 일이나 봉사도 하나님이 원하시는 뜻, 성령의 은사에 따라 해야 원망과 불평이 없다는 것입니다. 본문의 분주하다라는 원어적 의미는, 열심히 일을 하지만 힘들고 지쳐 불평하는 모습을 지칭하는 뜻 입니다.
1.3예수님을 아는것, 예수님을 만난 것의 차이
-마르다와 마리아의 차이는 예수님을 아는 것이냐, 만난 것이냐의 차이였습니다. 신앙생활을 오래해도 예수님을 아는 것에 그친이들도 있고, 처음 예배를 나와 예수님을 만난 사람도 있습니다. 예수님을 향한 두가지 믿음이 있습니다. 첫째는 우리죄를 사하신 구세주로 믿는 믿음이고, 둘째는 예수님을 우리 삶의 주인으로 모시고, 말씀을 따라 행하고 사는 것을 믿는 것입니다. 분주함은 주위사람을 힘들게 하고, 우리의 구원조차 빼앗아 갈 수 있음을 기억해야 합니다. 분주하면 중요한 것을 놓치게 됩니다.
2.참된 봉사는 말씀을 듣는데서 시작됩니다. 말씀이 없는 봉사는 불평을 하게 됩니다.
2.1말씀을 듣던 마리아의 봉사(요12:1-3)
-예수님께서는 참된 봉사를 우리에게 알려 주셨습니다. 바로 말씀에 입각한 순종과 봉사인 것입니다. 말씀을 잘 듣던 마리아는 예수님의 죽음을 준비하는 봉사를 하였고, 이는 예수님께 칭찬 받고, 성경에 기록되어 위대한 봉사로 칭송받고 있습니다.(요12:1-3) 봉사를 하던 마르다도 예수님의 말씀을 믿고 예수님을 주로 시인하며 부활신앙을 고백하는 모습을 보여줍니다.(요11:20-27)
2.3 목장 모임에서 잘 섬겨도 말씀을 듣지 않으면 영혼구원의 열매를 맺지 못한다.
3.내가 원하는 것을 예수님께서 말씀해 주시길 요구하지 말고, 예수님이 말씀하시고자 하는 것을 들을 수 있어야 합니다.
-오늘날 우리의 시대는 문명의 발달함에 따라 하나님의 말씀을 거스르는 사회가 되어버렸습니다.
3.1 참된 신앙과 가짜 신앙을 분별할 수 있어야 한다.
-참된 신앙은 하나님 중심의 신본주의, 가짜신앙은 사람중심의 인본주의 입니다. 목장을 하면서도 vip에게만 집중하여 섬기다 보면 인본주의가 되기 쉽습니다. 어떻게 목장을 이끌어 가야 하는지 기도하며 하나님의 도움을 구하고 인도하심을 구하는 모습이 신본주의 입니다.
3.2 말씀과 봉사의 균형을 유지해야 건강한 신앙생활을 할 수 있습니다
-선한 사마리아인의 비유가 나오게 되는데, 이는 수직적인 하나님과의 나의 관계, 수평적인 성도의 사랑을 비유를 통해 말해 줍니다. 말씀만 중요시 하면 교만해 지고, 봉사만 열심히 하면 위기가 오게 됩니다. 처음 선택은 마리아(예수님의 말씀, 친밀한 관계)의 역할 그리고 이후에 마르다(봉사와 사역)의 역할을 잘 감당해 나가시길 바랍니다.

Title: Mary and Martha of Bethany’s Decision

Today is the last sermon on the sermon series of ‘Making the Right Decision’.
At every moment of the day we stand at the crossroad of decisions and depending on what decision we make, the direction of our life is determined.
We make decisions based on our values that selfishly pursue our own benefit. These decisions make up our life.
Christians are to make decisions based on God’s word as our standard.
1. We tend to decide depending on the values we hold.
Jesus briefly visited Mary and Martha’s house as he was passing through Bethany.
Martha who wanted to serve Jesus and his disciples so well was in the end exhausted and started to complain.
This is the same for churches today, we can see that church members who complain the most are serving the most at church.
We must realise that church is not a place where you serve or work, but it is first a place where you hear God’s word.
1.1 It is not right to generalise all situations and do ministry by your own thoughts like Martha.
Martha had right intentions however it was not what was right in God’s eyes.
The right attitude is to be humble and walk with God as you serve Him. (Micah 6:8)
The problem with Martha was that she acted upon her own thoughts instead of prioritising the thoughts of Jesus Christ.
1.2 What Mary was doing back in that era was an extraordinary action. She was acting like she was a disciple of a rabbi.
At the time, Mary’s actions as a woman was a very shocking sight.
There is no heart of resentment or discontent when you serve or work according to God’s will and by receiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The meaning of the word busy in today’s passage is that you serve hard but you complain because you are tired.
1.3 The difference between knowing Jesus and meeting Jesus (verse 42).
The difference between Mary and Martha was not based on knowing Jesus but meeting Jesus.
In the walk of faith, there are people who have been Christian for a long time but only know Jesus and there are people who come to Sunday Worship Service for the first time and they meet Jesus.
There are 2 types of faith. First is the faith that you believe Jesus as your Saviour of your sins and secondly is the faith of accepting Jesus as your Lord and live pursuing God’s word.
We must remember that business makes it tiring of the people around you, and it can take away Jesus our Saviour. You lose sight of the important things when you are busy.
2. True service starts from listening to God’s words.
2.1 Service of Mary who was listening to God’s words (John 12:1-3)
Jesus teaches us about true service.
True service is the obedience and service based on the word.
Mary who listened well served by Jesus preparing Jesus’ death, was complimented by Jesus, and as it is written in the Bible, it is celebrated as great service. (john 12:1-3).
Martha who was also serving believed in Jesus’ words and confesses his resurrection. (John 11:20-27).
2.3 Even if you serve well at house church, if you do not listen to God’s words, you will not be able to bear fruit
3. Don’t demand Jesus to say what you want Him to say, but listen to what He wants to say.
Our society today has become a society against the word of God as civilisation develops.
3.1 We must be able to distinguish between fake faith and true faith.
True faith is God-centred (Neoclassicalism) and fake faith is human-centred (individualist).
It is easy to become human-centred while serving our VIPs.
We must pray to God how we should lead our house church and seek his help and guidance.
3.2 We can have a healthy faithful life when we maintain the balance between God’s words and service.
A good Samaritan metaphor is derived from my vertical relationship with God, and my horizontal relationship for the love of our neighbours.
You become arrogant if you only focus on the word, and crisis comes when you focus on service.
Let us first make a decision to be like Mary’s role (Jesus’ word and close relationship) and then handle Maria’s role (service).
