안녕하세요 새생명 성도님들 한 주 동안 잘지내셨나요?
이번 주 하나님의 말씀은 마태복음 14장 본문을 통해 본 고난의 의미 라는 주제의 말씀입니다.
바쁘시더라도 잠깐 묵상하는 시간을 가지셔서 말씀의 은혜를 누리시길 바랍니다.

신앙생활은 기쁘며, 하면 할 수록 즐거운 것입니다. 환경이 좋아서, 감사한 일이 많아서 즐겁고 감사한 것이 아니라, 예수님이 우리와 함께 하시기 때문에 기쁘고 즐거운 것입니다.
오늘 본문은 제자들이 탄 배가 풍랑에 시달리며 고난을 겪는 모습입니다.
우리가 겪는 고난은 결코 무의미 하지 않고 우리에게 의미를 줍니다.
1.고난은 보편적 입니다.
-주님을 따르는 길은 평탄한 길이 아니라 십자가의 길, 고난의 길 임을 알아야 합니다.
보험에 가입 하듯이 내 삶의 안전을 위해 신앙생활을 한다면 계속해서 어려울 수 밖에 없습니다.
믿음은 우리에게 위험한 모험을 요구합니다. 또한 믿음은 연단과 인내를 포함하고 있습니다.
그저 편안하게 살고 싶다면 오히려 신앙생활을 하지 않는 것이 낫습니다. 보험을 드는 마음이 아닌 모험하는 마음으로 신앙생활 하라는 것이 주님의 뜻입니다. (마 7:13-14).
흔히 고난과 형통은 반대말이라고 생각 하지만, 성경을 살펴보면 그렇지 않습니다.
창세기의 요셉의 경우 평민에서 노예로, 죄수로 신분이 전락된 것이 우리에겐 고난으로 보이지만, 성경은 그가 형통(성공)하다고 증거하고 있습니다. (창39:2-3절, 23절)
우리는 환경과 상황의 개념으로 형통 하다는 단어를 해석합니다. 하지만 성경은 목적지의 개념으로 형통을 해석합니다.
노예, 죄수라는 환경과 상황은 고난 이지만, 그가 애굽의 총리가 되는 목적에 계속해서 가까워지고 있기 때문에 성경은 그가 형통하다고 말하고 있는 것입니다.
고난은 하나님을 믿는 모든 사람에게 일반적으로 찾아오는 일반적인 것입니다.
그러나 그 고난의 과정 끝에 우리는 하나님이 이끄시는 목적지에 도달해야 하는 것입니다.
그러므로 환경이나 상황을 바라보지 말고, 하나님이 우릴 부르신 사명과 소명을 바라보아야 합니다.
2.고난은 성숙의 시간입니다.
고난 가운데 두려움이 주는 영적 파괴력은 무시무시합니다.
예수님의 제자들은 자신들이 탄 배가 풍랑을 만나자 큰 두려움에 압도 당했습니다.
그러나 이들은 불과 1시간 전에 오병이어 라는 큰 기적을 체험 하였습니다. 그리고 이들은 자신들을 찾아온 예수님을 알아보지 못하고 유령이다 하고 두려움에 떨게 됩니다.
이와 같이 우리도 고난 가운데 두려움을 겪게 되고, 상황을 제대로 파악하기 힘들어집니다.
두려움은 예수님의 제자들 조차 예수님을 알아보지 못하도록 영적인 마비를 가져왔습니다.
그래서 우리는 두려움에 압도 당하지 말고, 이용할 수 있어야 합니다. 이 비결은 고난 가운데 하나님께 나아와 무릎을 꿇을 수 있느냐에 달려 있습니다. (빌4:6-7절)
두려움과 어려운 환경에서 결정하지 말며, 감사하고, 기쁠 때 결정 하시길 바랍니다.
두려움은 문제를 확대하고, 믿음은 하나님을 확대합니다.
그러므로 우리는 하나님이 문제보다 더 커보일 때 까지 기도해야 합니다. 그럴 때 우리는 문제를 이길 수 있습니다.
3.고난은 주님과 동행하는 삶을 살도록 돕습니다.
본문을 보면 제자들이 고난을 당할 때에 예수님께서 그들에게 찾아오신 것을 알 수 있습니다.
다른 말씀에 기록 된 고난 가운데 찾아 오시는 예수님 (막6:48절)
성경이 말하는 평안은 문제가 없는 상태가 아니라, 문제가 여전히 존재하지만 주님께서 나와 함께하시며 동행 하시는 것을 말하고 있습니다.
갈릴리의 풍랑은 그들로 하여금 예수님을 참 하나님의 아들이심을 고백하게 만들었습니다.
우리 신앙의 참된 목적은 고난이 없는 삶이 아닌, 고난 가운데 예수님과 동행하는 삶입니다.

Title: Meaning of Suffering
Our walk of faith is joyful, it is more and more enjoyable as you continue living a life of faith.
You shouldn’t be joyful or thankful because of your good circumstances or because you have a lot of thankful points, but you should be joyful because Jesus is with us.
In today’s passage, the boat which the disciples were aboard on was in a storm, beaten by the waves and against the wind.
The sufferings that we face are not meaningless, they give us meaning.
1. Suffering is a universal phenomenon.
We must know that the road which we walk in following Jesus Christ is not a smooth flat road but the road of the cross, a road of suffering.
If you are walking a walk of faith as an insurance for your life, it is only bound to get more difficult for you.
Faith demands us to take a risk, to be adventurous. Faith also encompasses platform and perseverance.
If you want to live comfortably, it is better to not live a life of faith.
It is God’s will that we live by a faith of risk (adventure), not by a faith of insurance (Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”).
Commonly, it is thought that the words ‘suffering’ and ‘success’ are opposites but if you look at the scriptures it says otherwise.
In the instance of Joseph in Genesis, we may see his change in identity as he went from a commoner to a slave as a suffering however, in the bible it is written that Joseph achieves success (Genesis 39:2-3, 23). We interpret ‘success’ through the concept of ‘environment’ and ‘circumstances’. But, the bible interprets ‘success’ through the concept of ‘destination’. Being a slave (a prisoner) is suffering however, it is seen as success if we perceive that being a slave at that moment leads Joseph to getting closer to the destination of becoming a Chief of Egypt.
It is normal for the people who believe in God to experience suffering. However, we must reach the destination which God guides us to at the end of our suffering.
Therefore, don’t focus on your circumstances but focus on the mission and hope given to us by God.
2. Suffering is the time to mature.
The spiritual destruction power that fear gives amidst suffering is terrifying.
Jesus’ disciples were terrified and overwhelmed with fear when their boat was beaten by waves and caught against the winds.
However, just an hour ago they experienced and witnessed the amazing miracle of Jesus feeding five thousand men (not including the women and children).
Also, the disciples could not recognise Jesus and cried out in fear that a ghost was approaching them.
Like the disciples, when we face the fear amidst our suffering, we cannot properly interpret our situation.
Fear brought immense spiritual paralysis upon Jesus’ disciples where by even the disciples themselves could not recognise Jesus.
Therefore, we mustn’t be overwhelmed by fear but know how to use it. The secret is whether you can kneel before God during your suffering (Philippians 4:6-7).
You should not make decisions in fear or in difficult circumstances but make decisions when you are thankful and joyful.
Fear magnifies the problem, whereas faith magnifies God.
Therefore, we must pray until God seems greater than our problems.
Only then can we overcome our problems and suffering.
3. Suffering helps you to walk with Jesus.
We can observe in the passage that Jesus came to his disciples when they were suffering.
In Mark 6:48, “He came to them” doesn’t mean that we find peace when our problems disappear, but it means that the problem still exists however we receive peace because Jesus is with us and accompanies us.
The suffering of the storm of Galilee was a means for the people on the boat to confess that Jesus is God’s Son.
The real purpose of our faith is not a life without suffering but a life where we can be accompanied by Jesus amidst our sufferings.

信仰生活是幸福的、快乐的活动。
越做越给人力量。不是因为顺利环境而开心，是因为耶稣和我们同在而开心。
本文内容记录了弟子们在船上由于风浪受到的苦难。同样，我们每个人的苦难都会给我们一定的意义。
1. 苦难是普遍的
我们要懂得走向耶稣的路并不平坦、顺利。耶稣的路意味着走向苦难和十字架。
有些人就像加入保险一样为了安全选择做信仰生活。他们的信仰生活很难体会到真正的
快乐。信仰要求我们走进危险的冒险。需要忍耐与训练。
希望自己的人生简单一点可以不选择做信仰生活。 神愿意我们以进入冒险的态度来开始信仰生活，而不是为了自己的安全。（马太福音7章13-14节）
多数人认为苦难的反义词为成功，
但看到圣经上的内容这并不是正确的说法。举例创世纪里面的约瑟，他的身份从平民落到奴隶，又从奴隶落到了罪手。 在我们的眼中看到约瑟的身份落到奴隶的事情会认为他遇到了苦难。
圣经把苦难解释为“目的地”
意味着“享通“虽然围绕奴隶和罪手的环境和事情都是苦难，但因为他的苦难接近于最终目的地
（成为埃及的总理）因此说明了约瑟走向享通。
凡是相信神的人都会遇到苦难。重要的是我们要知道苦难的过程结束之后我们将会到达神引导的目的地。
因此我们要看神向我们赋予的使命
和召命。 而不是环境和事情。
2. 苦难使人走向成熟
当我们在苦难中的时候“害怕”的感情会破坏我们的灵魂并打扰我们的信仰生活。 本文中，当弟子们遇到风浪时他们的心里充满了恐怖。重要的是，遇到风浪之前的一个小时
他们都体会了“五饼二鱼”的奇迹的时间。
在船上耶稣走向弟子的时候他们没有认出他是耶稣，他们反而把耶稣看成是鬼，而感到害怕。 同样，当我们遇到苦难的时我们也不容易懂得事情的真相。
害怕的心使耶稣的弟子
达到了认不出耶稣的程度。
我们不能让恐惧压到我们，
要学会利用。苦难中的秘诀在于
我们能否向往神的面前

希望大家选择事情的时候在充满感谢、开心的情况下做决定，而不是在恐惧之下做决定。
恐惧将会扩大问题，信仰会扩大我们的神。因此
当我们遇到问题时要承认、相信比神是大于问题的。
以相信的态度来向往神，我们的问题才会得到解决
3. 苦难让我们活出与主同行的人生
通过本文能发现当弟子们遇到苦难的时候耶稣来到了他们面前。
（参考一下马太福音6章48节 耶稣来到遇到苦难人面前的另外一个场面）圣经中的平安不是指没有问题的情况而是主和自己同行而得到的平安。
加利利的风浪使他们向神表白了耶稣是
神的真正的儿子。
信仰生活的真正目的不是指无苦难的人生而是在于与耶稣同行得到平安的人生。
