이번 주 하나님의 말씀은 열왕기하 4장 본문을 통해 본 인생의 보물찾기, 감사 라는 주제의 말씀입니다.
바쁘시더라도 잠깐 묵상하는 시간을 가지셔서 말씀의 은혜를 누리시길 바랍니다.

제목 : 악순환을 이겨내는 감사

세계의 7대 불가사의가 있는데, 크리스천에게도 한가지 불가사의가 있습니다. 바로 어려운 환경 가운데 예수님을 찬양하는 일입니다.
지속되는 고난 가운데 우리는 악순환 속에 갇혀 있다고 말합니다. 악순환이란 좋지 않은 일이 순차적으로 발생하는 것을 이야기 합니다.
이러한 악순환을 이겨내는 감사의 삶을 사는 3가지 가 있습니다.
1.하나님의 은혜에 대한 감사는 더 큰 은혜를 불러오는 선순환을 일으킨다.
-엘리사 선지자는 수넴에서 한 여인을 만났고, 이 여인은 엘리사 선지자를 위해 숙식을 제공하며 극진히 섬깁니다. 이 모습을 통해 이 수넴 여인은 자신이 가진 지위나 재정에 대해 하나님의 은혜로 여기며, 선지자를 섬김을 통해 하나님께 감사를 표한 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 하지만 이 여인이 모든 것을 가진 것은 아니었습니다. 여인에게는 아들이 없었고, 이는 가슴에 커다란 구멍을 가진 아픔을 가진 여인 이었지만, 자신에게 주어진 것에 감사할 수 있었기에 이러한 태도를 보인 것입니다. 이런 사정을 안 엘리사는 여인에게 임신을 하여 아들이 태어날 것이라고 예언을 합니다. 이처럼 하나님의 은혜에 감사하는 사람에게는 더 큰 은혜를 불러오는 선순환이 일어나게 됩니다. 섬김을 불평없이 실천하고 감사하는 이에게는 더 큰 감사가 생기고, 더 큰 감사가 생겨나게 되며, 이것이 하나님 나라의 원리입니다. 세상은 악이 악을 낳는 악순환이 일어나지만, 하나님의 통치를 기뻐하는 주의 백성들에게는 감사함으로 더 큰 은혜를 누리는 선순환이 일어납니다. 악순환 가운데 있더라도, 의지적으로 결단하고 하나님의 은혜를 구하면 선순환으로 옮겨 갈 수 있습니다.
2.하나님의 은혜가 고통으로 바뀔 때에도 감사하면 평안을 누리게 됩니다.
-누구든지 살아가며 피할수 없는 고통을 겪게 됩니다. 선지자의 예언으로 얻은 아들이 원인모를 두통으로 인해 죽게 됩니다. 은혜가 고통으로 바뀌는 처절한 현실을 마주하게 됩니다. 이 여인의 고통을 과연 상상이나 할 수 있을 까요?, 일반적인 생각으로는 이런 상황가운데 어머니의 모습은 이성을 잃고 하나님을 원망하고 울부짖는 모습을 상상하게 됩니다. 그러나 이 여인은 죽은 아이를 선지자가 묵는 방에 눞히고, 24km를 달려가 선지자를 만납니다. 이런 가운데도 그 여인의 입은 "평안"을 이야기 하고 침착한 행동을 보입니다.(23절) 그 여인의 말(28절)을 통해 그 아들은 자신의 소유가 아닌 하나님이 주신 아들임을 인정하고, 슬픔가운데도 하나님에 대한 감사를 가지고 있는 모습을 보였습니다.
우리는 하나님께서 우리에게 베푸신 은혜가 고통으로 바뀔 때에, 이 여인과 같이 평안(샬롬)을 말할 수 있을까요?
3.감사하는 사람은 기적을 경험합니다.
-열왕기서는 인간의 나라와 하나님의 나라의 대조를 보여주는 책입니다. 3장의 인간의 나라는 자신의 아이를 죽여 제물로 바치는 장면이 기록되어 있으며, 오늘 본문의 내용은 죽은 아이도 살려내는 나라임을 대조하고 있습니다. 이런 상황을 안 엘리사는 급히 여인을 따라 집으로 갔지만, 그 아이는 이미 죽었으며 살아날 확률이 전혀 없었다고 기록되어 있습니다.(31-32절) 엘리사가 한 행동은, 하나님의 천지창조의 모습을 반영하고, 생명의 창조, 천지를 창조한 것이 상징되며, 창조주의 권능이 수넴 여인의 아들에게 임하는 것을 보여주고 있습니다. 세상의 어떤 기적보다 더 큰 기적은 죽은 사람이 살아나는 재창조의 기적입니다. 세상에서 가장 큰 기적이 하나님의 은혜를 기억하고 인정하며 감사했던 수넴 여인에게 일어 났습니다. 우리의 현실은 남들보다 더 소유하기 위해 발버둥 치고, 주기보단 받으려고 하며, 감사보다 불평과 원망이 넘치는 세상을 살아가고 있습니다. 하나님의 나라는 오늘 본문의 수넴여인 같이 하나님의 은혜를 인정하며 감사하는 사람에 의해 세워집니다.
-성도란 감사와 은혜가 내 삶속에 흘러, 경쟁하고 빼앗는 세상의 악순환을 멈추게 하는 사람입니다.
-오늘 예배를 드리는 모두에게 수넴 여인과 같이 모든 삶을 감사의 삶으로 살아가는 주인공이 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다.

Title: Thankfulness to overcome vicious circle

There are 7 wonders of the world and there is one wonder from christians. That is praising Jesus even in hardship of life.
In continuious pain people think they are trapped in a vicious circle. A vicious circle is where progressively bad things happen.
There are 3 things to live a life of thanksgiving to break this vicious circle.
1. Thankfulness for God’s grace brings virtuous circle with bigger grace.
Prophet Elisha met a woman in Shunem and she served Elisha with food and place to stay. Through this we see this woman takes what she owns is by God's grace and expressed her thankfulness to God by serving the prophet. But the woman did not have everything. She had pain in her heart because she had no son. But despite this factor she was still thankful of what was given to her and that's why she was acting like this. When Elisha realized this he made a prophecy to the woman that she will hold the son. Like so, for someone who can be thankful for God's grace can bring bigger grace and make a virtuous circle.
For those who serve without complaints and being thankful will have bigger thankful heart and this is the principle of God's kingdom.
The world happens to have vicious circle creating evil and more evil. But for God's people who enjoys God's reign will create a virtuous circle to have bigger grace.
Even if you are in the middle of a vicious circle, if you make a volitional choice and seek God's grace you can move on to a virtuous circle.
2.Even when God’s grace turns into pain but you are thankful, you will be in peace.
Everyone will at one stage face unavoidable pain in life. The son who was born from a prophecy died from a headache and the woman faces the reality where grace turns into agony. Could we even imagine this woman's pain? We would normally think that in such situation a normal mother will lose temper and scream and blame God. But this woman took her dead son to Elisha's bed and ran 24km to meet him. Even in this situation she talks about "It's all right" and acts calm. (verse 23)
From what she said in verse 28, we see that she admits that the son was not her possession but a son that God gave her and still thankful for God even in sorrow.
Do you think we can say it's all right (Shalom) like this woman when God's grace for us turns into agony?
3. Thankful person will experience miracles.
Book of Kings show us contrast of human world and God's Kingdom. In chapter 3 in human world they kill their own child for sacrifice, and in today's passage God's kingdom is even bringing a dead child back alive.
When Elisha followed the woman he finds the son already dead and there was no chance for him to be alive. (verses 31-32)
What Elisha had done reflects God's creation of the world, creation of life, and the authority of the Creator working on the son of the woman from Shunem.
The biggest miracle compared to any miracles of the world is a miracle of re-creation where a dead person rises again. This biggest miracle happened to the woman of Shunem who remembered, admitted and was thankful for God's grace.
In reality we try hard to owe more than others, try to receive more than to give, complain more than being thankful. But the kingdom of God will be built by someone like this woman of Shunem who admits God's grace and being thankful.
A christian is someone who can stop the vicious circle of the world by flowing through thankfulness and grace in their life.
