둘째, 기드온이 바알 제단을 헐어버리고 그 대신 여호와의 제단을 쌓았을 때 아버지 요아스는 적극적으로 기드온이 입장을 옹호했다.
셋째, 기드온은 백성들의 왕권 제안을 단호하게 거부했다.
1.2 There are 3 things we can see that Joash the father had a positive influence to his son Gideon.
Firstly, Gideon continued with the (faith of Jehovah) even in the flood tide era of baal faith.
Secondly, When Gideon demolished the altar of baal and built an altar for Jehovah, his father Joash was supportive for Gideon.
Thirdly, Gideon firmly denied the suggestion of the nations to become a king.
1.3 아버지 요아스가 아들 기드온에게 끼진 부정적인 면은 다음 2가지에서 확인된다.
첫째, 기드온이 부름을 받으면서 보여준 부정적인 반응이다.
둘째, 기도온이 금으로 에봇을 만들어 자기 성읍에 둠으로 인해 이스라엘과 자신의 집이 우상숭배에 빠지는 결과를 가져 왔다.
1.3 There are 2 things we can see that Joash the father had a negative influence to his son Gideon.
Firstly, Gideon's negative reaction upon his calling.
Secondly, Gideon made ephod out of gold and left it in his city which had brought the result of idol worshipping in Israel and his house.
